Express Yourself makes an artistic impact on the Cummings Center community

Cummings Center client firm Express Yourself is a non-profit arts immersion organization that challenges myths surrounding at risk young people, allowing these individuals to explore the visual and performing arts as a path toward a healthy sense of identity and feeling valued for their creativity.

Since joining the Cummings Center community in 2014, the organization has made a tremendous mark on the visual and cultural vibe of the campus, greatly enriching the Live.Work.Play feel of the North Shore’s premier business center!  Visitors will notice numerous Express Yourself art exhibits displayed throughout the common hallways of many Cummings Center buildings, as well as outdoor areas.  The energy, color and boldness featured in the art of these talented young artists are unmistakable and speak to the self-expression pouring out of the Cummings Center studio.  Express Yourself was recently featured in the September edition of North Shore Magazine.

Express Yourself is hosting an exhibition and reception of its designs and artwork at Endicott College this fall. This year’s set design features an array of artwork, including portraits inspired by the 1970’s Soul movement, painted spirit animals, and large scale three-dimensional totem poles.  The SOUL 2017 Exhibition and Reception will take place at Endicott College’s Carol Grillo Gallery and Desnoyers Overlook from September 14 to November 8, 2017.  The exhibit details can be found here.
