What does fall at Cummings Center mean to you? Is it the chilled air, warmed by a tasty hot pumpkin spice latte at Marinos Café? Or, perhaps it’s the multi-colored trees reflecting their jeweled tones onto Upper Shoe Pond? For a number of Cummings Center client firms, the start of the fall season means business is kicking into high gear. Here is a sampling of a few we would like to introduce.
Haunted Farms of America
Have you ever heard of agritainment? Even if you haven’t, you are probably well aware of it. Corn mazes, haunted hayrides and trails, and a variety of other agritainment attractions have been popping up all over the autumn landscape in the past several years. Haunted Farms of America, located at 100 Cummings Center, Suite 427-J, provides its expertise and an abundance of resources to help farmers and other landowners navigate this burgeoning world of entertainment.
Vampfangs
Perhaps one of the most unique businesses we’ve welcomed to Cummings Center, Vampfangs opened an office at the business campus several years ago after its founder, Scott Smiledge, realized he had a growing customer base interested in his custom-fit vampire fangs. His booth at Haunted Happenings in Salem attracted a lot of attention. Soon, customers were clamoring for more, and Vampfangs was selling fangs, colored contact lenses, and other Halloween-inspired products worldwide to an enthusiastic customer base from its new offices at Cummings Center. Vampfangs is now a part of the Iron Raven family of companies, which also includes Haunted Farms of America.
Anarchy Makeup and FX Studio
Anarchy Makeup and FX Studio recently opened its new office at 100 Cummings Center, Suite 340-D. The owner, Veronica Zizzo, is an esthetician who specializes in beauty and special effects makeup, including Halloween-themed designs. For more information, stop by and see Veronica at her office.
Boston Children’s Theater
Tickets are now on sale for Boston Children’s Theater’s production of Goosebumps the Musical. The Cummings Center nonprofit is dedicated to fostering the artistic and personal development of diverse youth, with a focus on professional training and the development of new works. This musical adaptation of a children’s favorite about a phantom will be performed live at Beverly’s Larcom Theater during the Halloween season. Click here for schedule and ticket information.
Marinos Café and the Breakroom
Did you get excited at the mention of hot pumpkin spice lattes? The good news is that lattes are just the beginning of the Halloween fun at Marinos Café. At its sit-down restaurant at 100 Cummings Center, Suite 107-P and a take-out location (The Breakroom) at Suite 151-J, the café has introduced a number of autumnal menu items, including brown-butter bourbon cookies with caramel glaze, apple cider doughnuts, butternut squash soup, and pumpkin muffins. Stop by for breakfast or lunch, or place a catering order for your next office event.
Cummings Beer and Wine Boutique
If you are looking for something a bit stronger, check out Cummings Beer and Wine Boutique and its diverse offerings, just in time for Oktoberfest. Conveniently located at 950 Cummings Center, Suite 103-X, the boutique offers a wide selection of fine wines and craft beers as well as gift baskets for corporate and personal occasions. The shop also hosts wine tastings on Thursday and Friday evenings.
