Architects For Learning opens new center at Dunham Ridge

Architects For Learning, which provides customized instruction, comprehensive assessments, and consultation services for school-age students and their parents, has opened a new education center at Cummings Properties’ Dunham Ridge campus in Beverly. The 3,300-square-foot office is the company’s second location, in addition to its headquarters in Needham Heights.

Founded by CEO Dr. Bonnie Singer, Architects For Learning caters its instruction to individual student needs. Dr. Singer and her long-time research partner, Dr. Anthony Bashir, have developed teaching methods aimed at improving students’ ability to listen, speak, read, write, take notes, study, stay organized, and manage homework. The group also offers trainings to teachers and school administrators interested in bringing these methods to the classroom.

“We have had a wonderful experience working with everyone at Cummings Properties,” Dr. Singer said. “They were so responsive to our needs, and our space at Dunham Ridge is exactly what we wanted – a warm and inviting space where we can help students know how to tackle what comes their way in school and in life to the best of their abilities.”

The center at Dunham Ridge was custom-built for Architects For Learning by Cummings’ in-house design and construction teams. As the former headquarters for Parker Brothers and Atari, Dunham Ridge features modern, build-to-suit offices situated on a piece of American business history. The campus is located on more than 50 wooded acres directly fronting Route 128.

In addition to 50 Dunham Ridge, which is 110,000-square-feet, and a newly constructed five-story covered parking garage, two new 150,000 square foot buildings are currently under construction at the site, and several land parcels are available for lease or purchase.

“It’s exciting to see so much happening at Dunham Ridge, and we are delighted to welcome Dr. Singer and her team to the campus,” said Cummings Properties leasing manager Mary Carroll, who worked on the lease with broker Ken Oppenheim. “With more Dunham Ridge buildings at an early stage of development, companies looking to move essentially have a ‘blank canvas’ to create a space precisely suited to their needs and preferences.”

Cummings Properties’ portfolio of 11 million square feet of prime space accommodates offices, healthcare facilities, labs, restaurants, retail storefronts, warehouses, co-working spaces, executive suites, and more. With a portfolio of this size and variety, the firm can meet almost any commercial real estate need from 150 square feet to 300,000 square feet. Its in-house experts in design, construction, and property management offer “one-stop shopping” first-class service for the business community.
