Cummings Properties is a proud sponsoring partner of the North Shore Wave, a shuttle that connects the MBTA commuter rail service at Beverly Depot to the more than 500 businesses located at Cummings Center. This new free transportation service makes multiple morning and end-of-workday runs. Stops are conveniently located at both 100 and 500 Cummings Center.
For commuters’ convenience, the shuttle’s arrival may be tracked on mobile phones using the handy “shuttle tracker.” Riders may also choose to receive shuttle alerts via text message (text ‘nswave’ to 555888 to sign up), and may follow the Twitter account @NSWaveShuttle for the most current schedule information, as well as notices about delays and contests or promotions.
The shuttle can carry 24 passengers and 2 wheelchairs, or 30 passengers and no wheelchairs. It does not have a bike rack at this time, although NSTMA is open to adding one if there is sufficient demand.
The idea for a shuttle came out of a study of North Shore transportation needs that identified gaps in several areas, including between the Beverly train depot and Cummings Center. Cummings Center hopes that this ‘last-mile’ service will be a helpful additional benefit for client firms as they recruit new employees.
